What is Codi/PCI ?
The name Codi/PCI represents the first 400 boer goats imported to the United States.   Jurgen Shultz, Tollie Jordaan and Norman Kohls invested considerable time and money in attaining these 400 boer goats from Africa.  These goats were the very best South Africa had to offer after decades of breeding.
Jurgen Schultz owned an export company called Camelids of Delaware, Inc. so came the name "Codi".  The Pet Center International was in charge of the customs processing so came the name PCI making up the term "Codi/PCI".

The goats were quarantined in Key West, Florida and later moved to Lampasas, TX after which Jurgen Shultz dispersed the animals and their offspring.  These original Codi/PCI are responsible for producing some of the finest boer goats in the world.  Most of these original imports are deceased.  Others have become so outcrossed that their style, character and confirmation have been nearly lost.  The Codi/PCI today sells for high dollars and always  at a premium if you are fortunate enough to find a straight Codi/PCI buck or doe.  These goats are known for body mass, large boned, thick and deep bodies with fast weight gain, and known for their breeding characteristics and especially for their ability to produce in kind generation after generation.  Renoir's Codi and his son and grandson standing side by side is a prime example of the Codi/PCI Genetics working in our breeding program.

All of these full Codi/PCI pictures were taken at 7 to 9 days of age.  All are sired by Ennobled Renoir's Codi out of full Codi/PCI dams.  We currently have three full Codi/PCI bucks that we will be using in 2008 and 2009.  See our "KID" page for "Codi Kids" ranging from 50% to 98% Codi/PCI.

Breeding with Codi/PCI will improve any herd and they cross well under most any blood line.  An example is Mose and Daisy (Ennobled Extra Damage X full Codi/PCI does.  "Codi Mose" and Codi Daisy pictured above are full Codi/PCI sired by Renoir's Codi.  It Will be interesting to see how they compare as yearlings.
